Hi, I’m Donna. I’m a certified executive coach, HR professional, kayaker, dog and cat person and my superpower is helping folks find career clarity and confidence.

Most of us, myself included, don’t have a straight-line career trajectory and that is perfect! Because we continuously evolve and grow we need to give ourselves permission to explore, learn and try new things. Basically, we need our careers to keep up to us!
The career journey is where the magic, joy and fulfilment is and I’m ready to adventure with you.

• I once took a job that I thought was my dream job. I went to school for it and it matched up with values. But I had changed, my dreams had changed, and I wasn’t using the strengths I enjoy using the most in the role. It was hard to leave the prestigious job title, but it was the right thing to do to find joy and fulfilment.

• I grew up on the prairies in Treaty 1 territory, the land of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Dakota, Dene, Métis, and Oji-Cree Nations. I now live next to the ocean and mountains on the unceded territory of the shíshálh and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nations. I am grateful for their care of this land and I’m devoted to learning, unlearning, and taking action to support decolonization. I acknowledge that as a white middle class cis-women, I have had opportunities many have not. I choose every day to be anti-racist, knowing I am inherently racist. I am a social justice learner committed to growing my awareness and action.

• If I wasn't a career coach another possible way I would choose to show up would be as a wilderness kayak guide or vintage clothing collector and seller. And when I say vintage, I mean pre 1980! How is it that clothes I wore in high school in the 90’s are now vintage?!

• I’m an Aquarian, Enneagram 9, Myers-Brigg ENFP-A, Chinese zodiac snake, and a SDI Hub leaning blue. My top values are connection, wisdom, and ease. According to CliftonStrengths, my top strengths are individualization, empathy, relator, harmony and developer.

• I have some credentials, they include a BA in Anthropology, being a Chartered Professional in Human Resources, and a Certified Executive Coach. I've been back to school several times on my career journey. I guess I’m still trying to figure out what I should when I grow up. Ha, just kidding. I have no plans on growing up. Have you tried adulting? It’s hard!
